Green Smoothie – Health & Vitality
Green Smoothies are a great and delicious way to increase your consumption of vegetables and fruits.
And why would anyone need to increase their consumption of vegetables and fruits???? Because vegetables and fruits are the best source of vitamins, minerals, fibre and many other disease fighting nutrients.
Also, because green smoothies are loaded with fibre, they are going to keep you full, satisfied and therefore control your hunger
Green Smoothie Recipe
– Kale – 2 big leaves
– Spinach – 2 hands full
– Celery – a small piece
– 1 medium cucumber
– 1 big banana
– 1 avocado
– 2 cups of water
The fruits are going to add sweetness and make the smoothie creamy and palatable. I love banana and avocado, but you can choose which fruits you want to use. You can choose from apple, pears, and pineapples. These are all great choices.
I use a regular blender, but if you have something more powerful like a Vitamix it is even better.
Start by pouring the two cups of water in the blender, and then add each ingredient individually.
This mix should add up to 1 litre. I have a 1 litre mason jar at home just to have my green smoothie.
The result is green, beautiful and delicious!
